Making framesets with Dreamweaver is a real DRAG. I'vd used Front Page, and it's so easy to do there. However, Microsoft adds all kinds of extraneous code, so I've given up on using that software. However, Dreamweaver is hardly any better. It is so IMMENSELY HARD to click on the right file, and save the right file, and get everything named correctly. I estimate that I made 57 attempts to create these two simple framesets. If there's an easier way, I'd like to learn it. Otherwise, I'll leave this alone.
More than that, the main problem I have with framesets is that they don't allow the user to know where, in fact, they are. It's like a house of mirrors. Every page says "frameset" or "index". And the pages print up just like they show online, with no useful locational information. Alas, that's the death knell for me. In fact, one of my main goals is to be able to convert some framed websites into frameless ones - and yet to retain the same look!
